

Welcome to Youth Choir
If you enjoy singing and want to be part of a friendly, ambitious choir, Youth Choir at South Derbyshire Music Centre (SDMC) is the place for you.
Open to young people in Years 7–13, Youth Choir provides an exciting opportunity to develop vocal skills, perform a wide range of music and make lasting friendships with other young musicians. Whether you’ve been singing for years or are looking for a new musical challenge, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive and encouraging environment.
Our rehearsals focus on developing vocal technique, musicality, confidence and performance skills while having fun and enjoying music together.

Meet the Ensemble Directors
Sara and Becca lead our Youth Choir with enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for inspiring young singers. Together, they create a supportive environment where every member is encouraged to develop their voice, perform with confidence and enjoy making music as part of a team.

Time: 5:10pm – 6:00pm
Who can join: Young people in Years 7–13
Try It for Free
New members are invited to attend their first two sessions free of charge. It’s a great opportunity to experience rehearsals, meet the choir and discover everything SDMC has to offer.
