Welcome to Kinder Choir

At South Derbyshire Music Centre, we believe every child deserves the chance to discover the joy of music. Our Kinder Choir is the perfect introduction to singing for children in Reception and Year 1, providing a fun, friendly and supportive environment where young voices can grow in confidence.

Through songs, games and musical activities, children develop their singing skills, rhythm, listening and coordination while making new friends along the way. Every session is packed with energy, creativity and plenty of smiles, helping children build a lifelong love of music.

No previous experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in!

Meet the Ensemble Director

Catherine leads our Kinder Choir, creating a welcoming and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to develop their confidence and enjoy making music. Her enthusiasm and experience help make each rehearsal fun, inspiring and rewarding for our youngest singers.

Try It for Free

We’d love your child to come along and experience Kinder Choir. The first two sessions are completely free, giving children the opportunity to make new friends, discover the excitement of singing together and see what SDMC is all about before joining.
