Welcome to Junior Band

 

Junior Band is the ideal ensemble for young musicians who are ready to build on their developing skills and experience the excitement of playing in a concert band. Open to brass, woodwind and percussion players of approximately Grade 2 standard and above, Junior Band offers an enjoyable and rewarding environment where musicians can continue to grow.

 

Our rehearsals focus on developing musical confidence, improving ensemble playing and introducing a wide range of exciting concert band music. Members learn valuable skills such as listening, teamwork and musical expression while making lasting friendships with other young musicians.

 

Whether you’re progressing from Club Band or joining us with previous ensemble experience, you’ll receive plenty of encouragement and support to help you reach your full potential.

Josh directs Junior Band with enthusiasm and expertise, encouraging every musician to develop their confidence, improve their performance skills and enjoy the experience of making music together. His supportive approach helps players achieve their potential while having fun along the way.
