Welcome to Concert Wind Band
Concert Wind Band is South Derbyshire Music Centre’s premier wind ensemble, bringing together talented brass, woodwind and percussion players to perform an exciting and varied repertoire. Open to musicians of approximately Grade 4 standard and above, the band provides an enjoyable challenge for developing and experienced players alike.
From film music and musical theatre to traditional concert band works and contemporary pieces, Concert Wind Band performs a wide range of music at concerts and community events throughout the year. Rehearsals are both rewarding and enjoyable, helping musicians refine their technique, develop ensemble skills and grow in confidence.

Matt directs Concert Wind Band with passion, expertise and a commitment to musical excellence. His engaging rehearsals challenge and inspire musicians to perform to the highest standard while ensuring that every member enjoys being part of the ensemble.
