South Derbyshire Music Centre (SDMC) is a registered charity dedicated to providing high-quality musical opportunities for children and young people across South Derbyshire.

 

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of our members, families, local businesses and supporters to help us provide affordable music education and performance opportunities. Every pound raised helps us invest in our musicians and ensure that music remains accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or experience.

Our 200 Club is one of our most popular fundraising initiatives.

 

For just £1 per number, per month, you’ll be entered into a monthly prize draw while helping to support music-making across South Derbyshire. Every membership helps us invest directly in our young musicians.

 

Attend Our Concerts

 

Our concerts showcase the incredible achievements of our members while also raising valuable funds for the music centre.

Donate an Instrument

 

If you have a musical instrument that is no longer being used, we’d love to hear from you.

 

Donated instruments can often be refurbished and loaned to new members, giving more young people the opportunity to begin learning without the cost of purchasing an instrument.

 

Donate Used Ink Cartridges

 

Help us raise funds while helping the environment.

 

We collect used printer ink cartridges, which can be recycled to generate valuable funds for South Derbyshire Music Centre. It’s a simple way to support SDMC at no extra cost while reducing waste.

 

Simply bring your used ink cartridges to one of our rehearsal evenings and hand them to Rachel, our SDMC Coordinator, who will ensure they are added to our recycling scheme.

 

Every cartridge donated helps support the musical opportunities we provide for children and young people across South Derbyshire.

Our volunteers are an essential part of South Derbyshire Music Centre.

 

From helping at concerts and fundraising events to supporting rehearsals and assisting behind the scenes, there are many ways to get involved.
