Welcome to Senior Percussion Ensemble
The Senior Percussion Ensemble is an exciting opportunity for percussionists to develop their skills in a dynamic and energetic ensemble. Open to musicians of approximately Grade 4 standard and above, the ensemble welcomes players of tuned percussion and drum kit.
Rehearsals explore a wide variety of musical styles, from contemporary percussion ensemble works and world rhythms to film music and popular arrangements. Playing in a dedicated percussion ensemble helps musicians develop technique, rhythmic accuracy, ensemble awareness and confidence while performing as part of a team.
Whether you already play in Concert Wind Band or are looking to expand your musical experience, Senior Percussion Ensemble provides an enjoyable and rewarding challenge.

Tom leads the Senior Percussion Ensemble with enthusiasm, expertise and a passion for rhythm. His engaging rehearsals challenge and inspire musicians while creating a fun and supportive environment where every player can develop confidence, technique and musicality.

Continuing Your Musical Journey
Following the Senior Percussion Ensemble rehearsal, members are encouraged to stay and rehearse with Concert Wind Band from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Playing in both ensembles provides the opportunity to develop specialist percussion skills while gaining valuable experience performing as part of a full concert band. Together, the two ensembles help musicians strengthen their technique, musical versatility and confidence.
