Welcome to Horn Choir
The Horn Choir is a specialist ensemble for French horn players who want to develop their skills while enjoying the unique and rich sound of a horn ensemble. Open to musicians of approximately Grade 4 standard and above, the ensemble provides the opportunity to explore music written and arranged specifically for French horns in a friendly and supportive environment.
Playing in a dedicated horn ensemble helps musicians develop confidence, tone, blend, intonation and ensemble awareness. Rehearsals feature a varied repertoire, including classical works, film music, popular arrangements and contemporary compositions, offering an enjoyable and rewarding musical challenge.
Whether you also play in Concert Wind Band or Family Brass Band, Horn Choir is a fantastic way to broaden your musical experience and perform alongside fellow horn players.

Sara leads Horn Choir with enthusiasm, expertise and a passion for the French horn. Her rehearsals encourage players to develop confidence, musical expression and technical skills while enjoying the unique experience of performing in a dedicated horn ensemble.

Continuing Your Musical Journey
Following the Horn Choir rehearsal, members are encouraged to stay and rehearse with Concert Wind Band from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Playing in both ensembles allows musicians to enjoy the focused experience of a specialist horn ensemble alongside the excitement of performing as part of a full concert band, helping to develop confidence, musicianship and ensemble skills.
