On Saturday 13 May, nine choirs from the South Derbyshire District will be able to showcase their work thanks to a grant from the National Lottery. Applications were invited from organisations which could help to bring a community together, and we were successful in our bid.
Choirs will come together at different times (see the timetable below) and sing with each other and to each other. Everyone is invited to come along to the Pingle Academy, Swadlincote and listen to all or part of the event. Tickets are available at the door (£3 adults, no charge for children).
Two songs have been specially written for all the choirs to sing (by Sara Kimber, one of SDMC's Music Team), and the massed singing will be led by Richard Jeffries.
